People of Brooklyn - brace yourself for shaking dancefloors, thunderous beats and deafening bassdrops because this summer electronic music is vacationing in your backyard at The Brooklyn Terminal Project.
With the help of Pacha NYC, The Brooklyn Terminal project will host its grand opening on June 3, hosting Australian dubstep duo Knife Party for a kickoff that is sure to make heads explode and eardrums rattle.
While most venues scream and shout for attention pre-opening, this brand-new, 75,000 square-foot outdoor event space has kept mysteriously quiet. But suspension makes for all the more excitement! And here’s what were excited about - a roster of world class DJs playing to the backdrop of the New York City skyline all summer long, a killer sound-system that’s said to rival Pacha’s production levels, and a destination easily reached by a 3-minute ferry ride from South Street Seaport.
Located at Pier 12, or 72 Bowne Street, the venue will offer interactive art installations aside performers, a food and vendor “village” inside the spacious complex, and a waterway breeze to save sweating patrons on steamy summer nights.
So mark your calendars for a week from Sunday and make plans to boogie down Brooklyn for a start to a beautifully musical summer!
