TIINA the Store Euro-Chic Décor & Apparel

Brand new to Main Street Hamptons is TIINA the Store. Opened in late May by Tiina Laakkonen who, as far as storeowners go, has some great credentials. The Finland native has modeled for William Klein, worked as an assistant to Karl Lagerfeld, and styled at top fashion publications like T Magazine. Her love for high fashion in everything from home accessories to ready-to-wear has led her to open the eponymous boutique. Inspired by decorating her recently built “dream home,” the store will carry many of her favorite European wares. Vintage Marimekko quilts, Dosa rugs, and Finnish designed wallpapers will be available alongside Ten Thousand Things jewelry, Ancient Greek Sandals, and Save the C handbags. TIINA is a one-stop-shop to fashionably outfit yourself and your home.

Reason Clothing Hamptons + Hipster = Hampster

While shopping for chic womenswear in the Hamptons is as easy as the coastline breeze, finding cool duds for your dude may be a bit more of a challenge. The weekend’s turned into a boutique-hopping free-for-all and while your guy has been quite the sport tagging along, seersucker and pink polos may not be his style. Enter Reason Clothing, a safe haven for guys with city style in the Hamptons. Co-owners Philip Bassis and DJ PRICE opened the shop in 2004 with sweet tee shirts and have now expanded to a full-range menswear label. The classic general store-inspired shop also stocks cool vintage finds, accessories, and vinyl records among its antique fixtures and raw steel racks. So even if you’re just in for a browse—admiring Reason Clothing’s unique décor is half the shopping experience.

Collette Designer Consignment One RHONY’s Trash is Another Women’s Treasure

If New York City is the Mecca of vintage consignment stores, The Hamptons has to be a close second. It’s not like you can be seen wearing your Southampton Hospital Gala gown (or shoes) more than once. If you’re a budget-conscious fashionista shopping for designer goods, Collette is where you’ll find them. Pucci, Gucci, Jimmy Choo, and Louboutin are all in the mix, and with four Hamptons locations (plus one in the city) you’re sure to find at least one hellava designer deal. It’s the best-kept secret to owning Hamptons style on an East Village budget.

Sunrise to Sunset Hanging Ten in The Hamptons since 1978

A Hamptons staple founded in 1978, Sunrise to Sunset is exactly where you need to stop if your vacation consists of riding (or trying to ride) the waves and spending sunny, sandy days on the beach. It’s the original go-to spot for the Southampton surf team and now outfits local beach bums looking for niche gear like swimwear by Billabong, Quicksilver, and O’Neill. They also stock boards and accessories by Channel Islands, Hobie, Rich Price, and Lost. If surfer-girl-chic is your preferred summer style, hit up Sunrise to Sunset to outfit your beach vacation wardrobe. And if swimwear shopping is your top priority, check out this Hamptons Magazine list for swim-specific spots!
