Hearts of Gold, an amazing non-for-profit charity organization in New York City is throwing its 17th annual Hearts of Gold Gala this Friday November 1. Hearts of Gold has a truly inspiring mission; they aim to help homeless women and their children become self-sufficient and find the resources to create sustainable change in their lives. Since its inception in 1996, Hearts of Gold has helped over 12,000 homeless mothers and children!

Every fall, Hearts of Gold creates a dazzling annual fundraiser with a cocktail reception, fashion show, live and silent auction, and a fabulous after-party for all attendees. This year’s event theme is “Fiesta Latina” and features a star-studded list of hosts and performers including CNN’s Soledad O’Brien, actress and singer Rhonda Ross, supermodel Emme, The Soprano’s Joe Pantoliano, Law and Order SVU’s Tamara Tunie, actress Marcia Gay Harden, celebrity tap dancer Joshua Johnson, Blue Blood’s Amy Carlson, and DJ Johnny Dynell. With a guest list like that, we know it will be an impressive yet poignant event.

Here at Glam Damn It we can’t help but get most excited about the fashion show, which features looks by Tracy Reese, Hanky Panky, White and Warren, Zapa, Iris, and Transit. It will also feature special headpieces created by Theresa Dapra, accessory designer for artists such as Kanye West and Lady Gaga. These pieces will be up for auction, as well as other amazing items such as visits to the sets of Girls and Trophy Wives!

Not only does this sound like an unbeatable evening, but all proceeds from the event will go to Hearts of Gold and the shelters around the city that it supports. What’s more exciting than fashion, entertainment, celebrities and a great cause? We can’t think of much! This is the epitome of a truly glamorous New York City night that makes a beautiful impact on our local community. Tickets are available here and range in price from $75 to $1,000. We would love to see you there!
