Named after Lakshmi, the goddess of prosperity, wealth, purity, generosity, and the embodiment of beauty, grace and charm, Indian born model Lakshmi Menon is one of the most exotic models featured on the runway. Menon began modeling in India in 2006 and after only one year in teh industry landed a Swatch ad campaign and was featured on the cover of the premier issue of Indian Vogue alongside Gemma Ward and other top Indian models.
In 2008, Menon replaced model Daria Werbowy as the sole face of Hermès. The same year she appears again on the cover of Indian Vogue- but this time she appears solo.
We take pride in being able to introduce you to one of the fresh faces of the future of modeling, Miss Menon:
- In September 2008, Menon walks in New York Fashion Week, closing the spring Ohne Titel show; also walks for Carolina Herrera, Diane von Furstenberg, Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren and Vera Wang.
- In December 2008, Vogue features Menon as "This Year's Model".
- Lakshmi Menon is the embodiment of Givenchy's new-season style; not only did she walk exclusively for Riccardo Tisci's couture showcase in Paris, but she also becomes one of the three faces of Givenchy.
