We spotted these three gals at last Sunday's Bastille Day celebration in Brooklyn, dressed in the world's chicest uniform to participate in the event's famous pétanque tournament. The game, which is basically bocce with a French twist, had over 80 teams playing this year, but what set these three ahead of the competition were their lovely ensembles.

No self-respecting francophile would leave the house without beateau stripes, but then they added a pop of sunshine yellow with their skirts (both from American Apparel). They topped the ensembles off with white panama hats and cinched them at the waist with skinny brown leather belts, et voilà: the sports jersey gets a darling makeover.
