CONT^CT, the artist formally known as DJZJ, is back under a new name with the same regenerative energy that has ignited the blogosphere. Zach Jacobs, originally from Huntington, New York, is making his first audacious leap from mashups into original material.
Under his new name and persona, CONT^CT is taking his music to new depths, demonstrating multi-instrumental talents and a keen ear for excitement. This gifted architect is setting down the pencil to deliver mash-ups and originals of lush symphonies likely to get you out of your seat.
His track “Voices” has been received warmly, citing its celestial vocals and a distinctive “progressive electronic flavor.” CONT^CT performs regularly in New York City at venues such as Santos Party House, The Gansevoort Park Red Room, Lilium, XVI, and Pacha. He has performed on stage with the likes of Laidback Luke, Dirty South, Cazzette, Big Gigantic, and Sultan + Ned Shepard as well as DJed the official MLS after party at the Highline Ballroom in 2011. In addition, Live City has enjoyed a great deal of fan support, with multiple releases breaking through the coveted Beatport Electra House Top 100 chart. With constant features on the industry's top blogs and social outlets, the New York City natives aren't letting go of the gas pedal, sporting a hefty release of originals and remixes throughout 2013.
Going back to 2007 a New York DJ formerly known as Chad Lackow started his DJ career. Born in 1987, this young gun - now distinctively known as Kid Clack - has made some major leaps forward in the world that breathes electronic dance music. Chad quickly became the resident DJ of one of America's most well-known nightlife venues, Kilroy's Sports Bar in Bloomington, Indiana.
After graduating Indiana University he began playing along with some great young talents over the past couple of years such as Fareoh, dBerrie, and Tyler Sherritt. Kid Clack has spun on the decks of Gansevoort Park, Tenjune, SL, Lilium, Santos Party House, and many more.
