SL, also known as Simyone Lounge, or the Nightclub-Formerly-Occupied-By-Lotus, is a chic, two-part space on West 14th Street in the Meatpacking District. SL is actually subterranean, tucked beneath its sister property, a swanky gastro-lounge called Abe & Arthur’s. It’s a hip yet historical area that attracts the City’s social elite. Here you’ll find the best of the best; the finest food, superior sound and the best-looking crowd in the Big Apple. Opened just over two years ago, SL is one of the most popular spots in the Meatpacking scene. Dress up if you want to get in, as this place can be quite exclusive. Eats & Drinks
Relax with some contemporary American cuisine and a cocktail or two at Abe & Arthur’s upstairs. Let its antique-looking furnishings and fixtures, glossy dark wood and buttery tanned leather that take you back in time to the 1930’s and 40’s. Executive chef Franklin Becker brings 15 years of experience to the kitchen and brings Angus burgers, Creekstone Farm steaks and fresh seafood to your table. Sip a glass of wine or champagne from their extensive list or try one of their more creative, top-shelf cocktails like the Naughty Nora, the Black Diamond or the Lavender Bee.
SL is sectioned off into more intimate sections with plenty of private tables featuring full bottle service. Color-changing lights shine through x-rays and series of mirrors to create a dramatic yet high-energy scene. No expense was spared when crafting this trendy, innovative space from the bar to the Backroom to the reflective ceiling above the DJ Booth.
