Velour Lounge serves great drinks in a warm, cozy and friendly environment. It is located in the shadow of the shadow of the Empire State
Building in the heart of Chelsea, amongst the multitude of Art Galleries and in walking distance of the Chelsea Art Museum and the DIA Art Foundation. DJs play an eclectic mash up of House, Hip-Hop, Top 40, and R&B which can always be heard and seen on 50 inch plasma screens and Velour's State of the Art 110 inch HD Projection screen.
Eats & Drinks
Inventive and delicious original specialty drinks with fresh ingredients and colorful names like the Dragon Berry Martini and the Gala Applik Cozmo. A limited offering of appetizers and comfort food is served hot and fresh to order until closing time.
Ambience
Encloses an abundance of red velvet drapes and suede banquettes in cozy and warm, plush surroundings. Velour is distinctive because the atmosphere is created by the prominent exhibit of original oil paintings by Brian Kirhagis which are on display. What
really makes Velour unique is in keeping with this theme Velour is very friendly to local Artist’s in the community with space available for short term exhibits where local and unknown artists can show their original pieces for FREE. Velour’s free exhibit space handles works in most Medias including film, video,
painting, photography, drawing and prints.
