Scene
Formerly Rewind, this Lower East Side spot nixed the Asian menu and revamped the former dive club into a lush, trendy new space. Manicured with industrial chic elements, Foundation’s interior boasts a large bar area where partygoers can enjoy many specialty cocktails, a raised banquet area adorned with chandeliers, a draped ceiling, and even a gold stripper pole. A second bar area, with seating for upwards of 100 people is located in the rear of the club, and features a luxurious banqueted area with a dazzling mirrored wall. This new and improved hot spot attracts a good mix of people, where everyone from hipsters to celebs to debutant socialites can be seen drinking and dancing the night away.
Eats & Drinks
Foundation provides partygoers with no less than two full bars situated on either side of the club, plus plenty of small tables for bottle service. Be sure to check out Spun Tuesdays at Foundation, a new weekly event where partier can jump into the DJ booth and enjoy liquor-laced popsicles!
Ambience
There is no doubt that the L.E.S has become a trendsetting neighborhood, with the opening of the ultra chic Thompson Hotel, Hotel on Rivington, and Stanton Social, and Foundation is no exception. Keeping with its contenders, Foundation is swanky, sharp and stylish. With its posh décor, relaxed atmosphere, hot beats and diverse crowd, Foundation may be The Lower East Side’s best addition yet.
