Eats & Drinks
The Star Lounge’s lavish bar is stocked to make fun and tasty cocktails named after legendary past residents of the Chelsea Hotel, such as “the Guitarist”, named after Jimi Hendrix and “the Socialite,” named after Edie Sedgwick. Thursdays are Martini nights, and if it’s your birthday, you can look forward to a free bottle of champagne courtesy of Star Lounge.
Star Lounge provides an intimate setting, accompanied by dim lights, lush sofas, and a candlelit bar. Its décor is reminiscent of the 1920’s, yet updated for a more modern feel. Star Lounge is warm and inviting, yet sexy and sophisticated. Each of the three rooms has a very different vibe. Be sure to check out Room 100, named after the hotel room where Sex Pistols legend Sid Vicious allegedly killed girlfriend Nancy Spungen.
The Star Lounge has been known to attract a long list of celebrities. Josh Hartnett and Helena Christensen have been spotted singing karaoke on Thursday nights, and other celebrities such as Sienna Miller, Guy Pearce, Bridget Moynahan and Heather Graham have enjoyed Star Lounge’s private setting and fun atmosphere.
