VYLE grew up with aspirations outside of the “Hip-Hop” culture that permeated his southside Chicago neighborhood of Hyde Park. As a child, the Producer/Songwriter/Vocalist was more interested in technology, comic books, anime and John Carpenter film scores than popular music. He only considered taking rap seriously after a locally famous artist heard his first ever freestyle. During high school, VYLE released a series of tapes that garnered press from magazines such as URB (Next 100) and XLR8R; he was featured on MTV's My Block: Chicago; and has had the opportunity to play major US markets at festivals such as Governor’s Ball, SXSW, Lollapalooza, CMJ and the Pitchfork Music Festival alongside world-class artists such as Björk, Daft Punk and Kanye West.

Since the start of the 2016, VYLE has produced for an array of artists, including Azealia Banks, Boyslashfriend, Cakes Da Killa, and Rick Ross, amongst others. He has been featured in publications like Newhive, DIS Magazine, Bullett Magazine, and Complex. VYLE worked with entities such as PC MUSIC, Gypsy Sport, Samsung, Dell, Alienware, and Sennheiser on events and performances.

Furthermore, VYLE’s production has been included in art installations at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Hammer Museum, Superchief Gallery SOHO, City Bird Gallery (NYC), and The Bitcoin Center. He also maintains DJ residencies at Manhattan’s Up & Down and Thotlandia, a monthly event in Brooklyn that can call attendees like Alexander Wang, Hari Nef, and Mykki Blanco regulars.

VYLE is also a member of NEW INC, an initiative started by The New Museum. VYLE is currently finishing up his 2nd official album entitled “A Ü T O/M Ö T O R”, which will include an art exhibition presenting interactive 3D environments, including video and art accompaniment pieces from collaborators including Cities Aviv, Jeanette Hayes, Dos Global, Chapman, Mary Scahill, and Hattie Ball, amongst others, to be released soon.
