Good news, fellow spa-goers! Lapis Spa at the Fontainebleau is extending their Miami Spa Month specials through the month of September to help you survive the last of the Summer heat.
I recommend the three treatment package which includes a 30 minute mineral soak and scrub, a 25 minute facial and a pedicure for $99.
You'll start with a few minutes in the eucalyptus steam room. An attendant will then lead you to the mineral soaking tubs. The water is hot and brimming with bubbles. She'll pour in a cup of mineral salts before you immerse yourself.
The month of August is just around the corner, and that means that South Florida’s foodies are all eagerly anticipating Miami’s restaurant month, Miami Spice. Starting in the month of August, a wide array of Miami’s top restaurants will be offering three-course prix fixe menus at a promotional price - $25 for lunch and $35 for dinner – kind of as a way to draw us locals to haute cuisine restaurants we wouldn’t regularly attend and, in turn, make us regular patrons. Considering that this promotion enables diners to dine at a fraction of the price that it normally costs to enjoy many of these restaurants, it is no wonder that Miami Spice has become wildly popular. Consequently, the event has been extended an extra month and now spans from August through the end of September. As an added treat this year, diners will be able to experience the eclectic and sumptuous dining options that The Fontainebleau Hotel has to offer.
New ultra lounge, Arkadia opened it's doors this past weekend and made quite the first impression on Miami's nightlife scene. The club, even in it's first few days hosted a birthday celebration for hip hop superstar Drake, who partied alongside Lebron James, Ed Norton, Alex Rodriguez and Ashanti.
The lounge within the Fontainebleau is now sister venues with powerhouse and award winning LIV nightclub. MMG Nightlife, the same masterminds behind LIV wanted to create a more personal and exclusive venue. The new space was designed for a little over 300 guest, with both indoor and outdoor space featuring a small pool for those party-goers who want to make a little splash before they leave the club.
Fontainebleau and MMG announce the opening of Miami's newest nightclub, Arkadia. Miami nightlife will be host to the newest member of the legendary Fontainebleau and invites you to join the team at a job fair on Monday August 16, 2010 from 1pm-5pm at LIV in the Fontainebleau Hotel. All applicants should apply in person.
