Venue Description:
Grandly grim East Village watering hole. A decided throwback to the pre-Starbuck's East Village days when things were scary and seedy - and cheap. A great place to get drunk fast or to make your drinking dollar stretch. There's a great collection of drunken old cranks who hang out at the front bar and yell at you, the equally barmy bartender and their imaginary friends. Note the early closing time. The bartender goes to sleep.
