Venue Description:
Nation made its mark on the NYC gay scene by being the only local straight bar that throws a lesbian party, aptly named GirlNation, on Saturday nights. The room reeks of gin and perfume; the scene attracts a dyke-otomy of collar-popping tomboys with frosted tips and girls whose jeans resemble a fresh coat of denim paint. Wade through the estrogen and order a $5 domestic beer or $7 mixed drink at one of the two bars (at least thereĀ's no cover). The crowd is lively and DJ Stacy spins to keep the crowd moving.
