A cool little hangout spot on the eastside, Heathers is the type of place to hit for an after-work drink or a night out with the friends. The décor is highly unique, with subway station tiles covering the walls and furniture courtesy of the New York Board of Education. ThereÂ's also a rather charming artwork depicting a bear in a pornographic pose—it's no wonder that Heathers is a haven for artists.  Feel inspired? Grab some chalk and express your creative side on the restroom chalkboard. Otherwise, sample an array of snacks that are a lot healthier than your average bar such as organic cheese puffs and yucca chips seasoned with the perfect ratio of saltiness to complement the beer. Wednesdays offer 2-for-1 drunk specials for the frugal at heart, but if youÂ're especially thirsty, order the houseÂ's delicious mint chocolate Scottish ale appropriately dubbed Heathers.
