Scene
Voted one of the top 25 Hottest New Places in the World by Conde Nast Traveler, this 7,000 square foot bi-level Mediterranean restaurant/lounge is one of the most talked about spots of the year. Revisited again and again by celebrities, models, and fashionistas, Amalia has frequently been in the pages of New York magazine, Elle Décor and Time Out New York. Containing one of the hottest lounges, D’or, Amalia is one of the buzz words that will be sticking around.
Eats & Drinks
The menu at Amalia contains a combination that is not often scene in American restaurants: food from both Spain and the Middle East. This Mediterranean concoction has many savory and spicy dishes that have patrons begging for the recipes and coming back for more. With a notable wine list, a full bar, and a VIP status filled lounge at D’or, Amalia has something for everyone.
Ambience
Amalia incorporates leather, barrel-vaulted ceilings, exposed brick walls, and a large black Murano-glass chandelier to give it a modern, swank, yet inviting setting. One can enjoy decadent cocktails while dining on Mediterranean cuisine, and then zip up the one of a kind “floating” staircase to the D’or lounge for the after-dinner drinks and dancing.
Celebrities
Do you love spotting the hottest celeb, fashion designer, or artist? Come to Amalia. Celebrities spotted include, Tori Spelling, Patricia Field, Teri Hatcher, Aubrey O’Day, Zac Posen, Rachel Bilsen, Nina Garcia, Demi Moore, Farnsworth Bentley, J. Alexander from American’s Next Top Model, Fabiola Beracasa and Olivia Palermo.

The "i"s Have It!

Wowzers.

Restaurant i is an Asian-American delight that impresses and infiltrates the senses in a bright and flavorful way. Executive Chef Andy Seidel (Spice Market) displayed his culinary talent at the restaurant's opening last night. Joonbug was lucky enough to receive an invite to the extravaganza which lasted well into the night for the debut of i Lounge.

Yum.Yum.Yum... That's all I can think about when I remember what I had to eat last night. The very moment I entered Restaurant i, the staff, the DJ, the chairs, everything was warm and welcoming. My friends and I sidled up to the bar and ordered ourselves some complementary drinks while we waited for the festivities to begin.
