When it comes to unique bar experiences, there is only so much variation from one to the next. An ice bar is the exception… and we are thrilled that Minus5’s new location will be right here in the Big Apple.

Grub Street reported that the spectacle will be welcomed to its new home at the Hilton Hotel midtown this coming November. In this wonderful creation, EVERYTHING is made of ice: the walls, seating, glasses, and intricate decorations.

The bar’s clever name comes from its constant temperature of minus five degrees Celsius, or twenty-three degrees Fahrenheit. Upon entry, guests are given insulated jackets, gloves, and boots to keep toasty while enjoying the experience.
