Club Element to Re-emerge as 'Five Nightclub'
After a string of unsuccessful ventures, a new nightclub is finally in the works for the historical space in the lower east side.

The rumors of Club Element’s future can finally come to an end. The venue has officially been sold and is  being refurbished for its reopening as "Five Nightclub." The space, located on the Lower East Side, has been turned over several times unsuccessfully. Hopefully its revival by owner Jamie Mulholland will finally prove successful.

Its stunning structure that reads “The Provident Loan Society of New York” still contains remnants of its past as a 19th Century bank. The tri-level club hosts a bottom floor, “The Vault” containing original vault doors, creating a rich VIP atmosphere with Romanesque architecture. Previously used for the Manhattan Gentleman’s Club, and once home and recording studio to artist Jasper Johns, we are hopeful that its resurrection as a nightclub will be successful yet still preserve the original club’s chic atmosphere and rich history. Located at 225 East Houston, Five Nightclub’s $15 cocktail menu seems like a deal. We can’t wait to see for ourselves!
