While the She & Him concert at Governer's Island starts at 4:00pm this July 4th, the beach will be open at 10:00am, giving people a chance to enjoy the holiday and be the first to get in on the free concert. She & Him (with Oakley Hall) will be performing this Sunday, giving Zooey Deschanel and Matt Ward a chance to share the American spirit with New York. What could be a more idyllic way of relaxing this 4th of July with a day at the beach and a free evening concert?

Again, this concert is first come first serve - no matter how old you are.
