
On Friday, 9/2/11, the Tribeca hot spot Canal Room gets the Labor day weekend started with a birthday bash for promoters NYC Compton and Mike of FEELGOODCAREFRE. The party caters to Hip-Hop fans with Reggae, Hip Hop, R&B, and SOCA blasting through the stereo all night. Party Begins at 10:30 and ladies are free until midnight. $20 dollar advanced tickets are available, but get 'em quick, this event is set to sell out.
On Saturday, 9/3/11, west side nightclub Taj II, offers up their annual Labor day celebration party. Resident DJ GetLive will be spinning all night with a mix of Rock, Hip-hop, 90's, and house. Free admission with RSVP until midnight, as well as a ladies happy hour from 10-11 and a 2-1 drink special from 11-midnight are just some of the specials the club offers. You can also call about one of their seemingly endless list of bottle package deals. If the name Taj II sounds familiar, it's because it used to be called just Taj, but after an extensive renovation, the club owners got creative and renamed the place...
On Sunday, 9/4/11, the time travelers from the show Heroes, I mean, the Hiro Ballroom hosts their "Goodbye to Summer" party with special guest host Camilo Camilo Camilo (yes his name is really the same thing repeated 3 times times times). The venue, located at the base of the Maritime Hotel, is a massive two level nightclub offering a state of the art lighting system, barrel vaulted ceiling (sounds impressive whatever that means) and projector with a 16 x 16 screen. Doors open at 10pm and admission remains free until midnight.

For those not interested in the dance party scene this weekend, promoters known simply as "the Horseman", hosts their 5th annual Labor Day BBQ at the Brooklyn venue, Backyard BBQ.
