Now that Fashion Week is quickly closing in on us it's time to start finding some answers to that all too important question, "What should I wear?"   Granted Fashion Week is a perfect excuse to find some new gear, but unless you are an heiress with money to burn or happen to be bff's  with a major fashion publicist who will let you borrow the latest and greatest Balmain ensemble, you will have to plan your outfits according to your budget.  And with so many parties to attend, it can be hard not to go overboard and not dip into the rent money. Now, I find that whenever this time of year rolls around and I need a few pieces to update my wardrobe without incurring any over draft fees is to hit the all too lovable madhouse that is Forever 21. It is a one stop shop for fun Fashion Week friendly pieces that will not leave you dead broke and eating tuna and crackers for the rest of the month.  Here are a few of my picks that will give your closet just a little boost without breaking the bank.  

Military is in, so dress up your Summer basics with this adorable vest.

Be rocker chic with this fitted studded skirt and sexy one-shoulder dress.

Sequins are here to stay so make a splash with this dynasty-esque top and curve hugging two-tone dress.

Be the cat's meow in this little double v-neck cheetah print number or leopard print zippered frock.

This flirty tiered lace piece is just too cute to pass up.  But be sure to toughen it up with some killer ankle boots or a cropped motorcycle jacket to keep it from being too sweet.

Pump up the glam factor on your LBD with one of these shiny cuffs.

Statement necklaces are an absolute must!

Why have one ring when you can have two?  Well actually it is just one ring, but let's not get all technical.

A pair of classically updated peep-toe pumps and a pair of who-gives-a-funk posey-print chunky heeled mary-janes will get you through the week in style.

And of course you need a place to house all of your junk.  So either an over the shoulder bag with metal fringe or a large carry-all with ruffle and zipper detail will do the trick.
