A hint of chill has already announced the arrival of October and we can't be more excited. NYC has cooked up an awe-inspiring week for you and we, its mere servers, have compiled a daily schedule of goodies for you to attend. With so much to do and only the week to do it, you'll be out every night, being that shining socialite we know and love. One night, a Breast Cancer fundraiser, another, dancing your A$$ off at Deadmau5, and then, to put a cherry on top, sauntering in your red ball gown at a vampire Halloween masquerade.
Monday October 3rd

Kick off the week (and the beginning of our fave Fall month) with a bedtime story. No silly Joonbugs, we are not telling you to stay in tonight. Rather, join Honorary co-chairs, Julianne Moore, and Bart Freundlich in celebrating the 15th anniversary of Children of Bellevue’s Reach Out and Read Program. There, you’ll enjoy gourmet hors d’oeuvres from restaurants like Bar Breton and Beacon, while mingling with other supporters for a delightful wine and dessert reception. Then, you will hear specially selected stories read by A-list celebs like Samuel L. Jackson, Billy Crudup, John C. Reilly, Brooke Shields, Ana Gasteyer, and LaTanya Richardson. Revisit those childhood nights where mom would read you to sleep and come support this incredible cause so that kids today can enjoy the same experience.

With October comes the donning of pink frocks, and ribbons, in nationwide support of an illness that is diagnosed once every 30 seconds (globally). But support doesn’t have to come in elegant galas, a walk, or by dishing out your life savings on an exclusive NYC party (although we can’t lie; we love dancing, drinking, and walking for a cause). For only $25 presale and $30 at the door, you can come out to the 2nd Annual NYC Breast Cancer Fundraiser for a fun-filled night of live entertainment, and art. There will even be a complimentary live tattoo station for the ink enthusiasts (maybe you can finally get that shoulder Joonbug you’ve been contemplating) and first come, first serve, gift bags. Make sure to greet your honorary breast cancer survivor Geralyn Lucas, and hosts, NYC Ambassador’s Rachelle Koser and Nicole Nesbitt.
