Not Your Average Night Out
Hendricks' Gin presents Voyages into the Unusual

Once you get past the insane line and step through the unassuming doors of 5 Beekman Street, you will walk into a world similar to Wonderland, but with an adult twist. Hendrick's Gin made the final stop on their Voyages into the Unusual tour in New York City this week. The three day event didn't seem enough time to let all those who wanted to experience the unusual inside for a look. The oldest highrise in the city held a magical foray into the world of gin. Eyes didn't know where to look - in one direction a contortionist in a life-size bubble, in the other, an acrobat hanging from the ceiling. As party-goers wound their way from room to room, they had an apt number of drinking stations to choose from. Hit up the old-fashioned bar and pick your poision (specialty Hendrick's Gin cocktails) or take your chance sticking your hand inside a chained box to see what cocktail you receive. Passed hors d'oeuvres made their way around the party, as did the music from the White Ghost Shivers band. Those who were lucky enough to experience this truly unusual event were able to guzzle down amazing gin cocktails, feast on gourmet bites, and act like a kid once again. Various elements of party included a greenhouse, complete with a knowledgable (and juggling) botanist who explained all elevan botanicals used in Hendrick's Gin, a crashed hot air balloon photo op, an apothecary, a talented artist doing portraits, and so much more. In this case, words may not be able to tell the story, but pictures sure can.
