Spend your weekend at the Brooklyn Expo Center this Saturday with the inaugural edition of the Whiskey Fried Classic food and drink festival. An offshoot of the popular touring festival Bacon and Beer Classic, this cutting-edge event is being conducted by the same highly-acclaimed team at Cannonball Productions.

The Bacon and Beer Classic has gained a reputation of its own as a fantastic place to wash down delicious, locally-sourced foods with beers from around the world. This Saturday, the highly anticipated Whiskey Fried Classic is sure to be just as mouthwatering- featuring over 100 whiskies, cocktails and craft beers as well as dozens of local food vendors with fried and southern-inspired dishes. You can also expect live music from local bands and performers, and other entertaining festivities- horseshoe tosses, a mustache bar, and memorable souvenir photo booths — all guaranteed to give you those authentic southern comfort vibes.

Attracting whiskey enthusiasts, southern food fans, and curious New Yorkers alike, this backyard barbecue festival will take your taste buds on a tantalizing adventure. Some crowd-pleasing favorites to look out for include the Donutologist’s whiskey-drizzled donuts, Bareburger’s pickled fried chicken sliders, Delaney Barbecue’s smoked beef brisket with pulled pork, and many more- making this Saturday the perfect excuse for a cheat day.

Last but not least, it is sure to be a whiskey lover's dream come true as these irresistible cocktails and whiskiesare sourced from all over the world. With well-known tastings coming from local distilleries such as New York’s Gristmill Distillers and Brooklyn’s Widow Jane Distillery, as well more unique spirits from foreign distillers such Ireland’s Teeling Whiskey and Scotland’s Usquaebach Scotch Whisky- a night of quality sips and snacks is all but guaranteed.

The event takes place in two separate sessions throughout the day on July 9th, the afternoon session from 1:30PM to 4:00PM, and the evening session from 6:30PM to 9:00PM.

Attendees must be 21 or older to attend. Tickets are available for purchase online at the general admission price of $85, or for $125 for VIP tickets. VIP tickets include admission to the event 30 minutes early than the session officially begins, as well as access to a special VIP lounge.

Future destinations for the touring festival include Denver, Seattle, Chicago, and the San Francisco Bay Area, with even more planned in the foreseeable future.

This festival is a guaranteed hot ticket- whether you’re a self proclaimed whiskey connoisseur or just looking for a good time this weekend, make sure you’re the first in line for some of your favorite whiskeys and fried foods.
