With August coming to a close, there is a rush to get one last taste of summer before fall comes. The people behind Quiet Clubbing have a unique option to get that fix, though, as the first ever Quiet Clubbing Festival is coming to Coney Island on Saturday, August 27.

Quiet Clubbing is a unique musical experience where three separate DJs play on a stage in the front of the room. Each attendee of the event is given a pair of headphones at the start of the event. Each pair of headphones has a switch on it that allows you to switch between listening to the three DJs on the stage. This makes it so the entire room of people is listening to music together without any music actually being audible outside the headphones. And when you switch to a specific DJ, your headphones light up with the color that you're listening to.

The stage features three DJ options at any given time, with “blue” DJs, “red” DJs and “green” DJs. The “blue” channel features genres like R&B, hip hop, reggae and soca, and hosts DJ John Lutchman, DJ Camz and DJ Banks. The music from “red” includes throwback jams and mashups, and features DJ NSEW and DJ Alex Gonzalez. Lastly, the “green” music is top 40 dance hits, and hosts DJs Amina Zena, SANiTY and Izzy E.

Outside of the music, this festival features attractions including LED robots with air cannons, fire twirlers, LED hula hoop dancers, as well as food and drinks available for sale. The outdoors atmosphere on Coney Island and hours-long sets makes it feel like any other festival, but with the unique twist of listening on headphones.

Tickets are available online from $25, but the price of general admission will increase the closer it gets to the day of the event, so be sure to pick up your tickets as soon as you can. If you want a unique festival experience to wrap up your summer, you can’t do much better than the Quiet Clubbing Festival.
