Tucked a block down from the bawdy and bustling South Street is the more urban Bainbridge Street. Primarily residential, Bainbridge has an eclectic group of small BYOBs, bars, and clubs. Leader in this pack is the French inspired LÂ'Etage. This chic splash of Europe is a welcome diversion, with a unique crowd of urban hipsters and multi-generational scenesters. Entertainment ranges from cabaret acts to local (but talented) DJs. Crowds pack the 2nd floor establishment Thursday thru Sunday, happy to pay the reasonable cover price. Stop by the Creperie Beaumonde downstairs beforehand, for a fantastic dinner and to complete your “European” vacation.
