Scene
Located just off Philadelphia’s famed Rittenhouse Square Park, Rum Bar offers a unique escape and strikes the perfect balance between upbeat and intimate, lively, but laid back. Music ranges from contemporary Rock ‘n’ Roll to Reggae to late-night lounge.
Eats & Drinks
This 48-seat island-themed restaurant and lounge stocks over 80 types of rum, from your everyday Bacardi to the high-end Mount Gay Tri-Centennial, priced at $120 a shot. Owner/mixologist Adam Kanter’s carefully designed cocktail menu stretches the palate to include sweet and tart favorites like the Fuzzy Daiquiri and the Pomelo Blossom; as well as the more daring and spicy Chili Coriander and Creole Daiquiri. Not a rum enthusiast? Rum Bar’s highly trained bartenders will introduce you to the spirit in a way catered only to you. Amazing drink specials, such as daily happy hour [5-7pm], Mojito Mondays, Tiki Tuesdays, and Save the Daiquiri Wednesdays get the week off to an upbeat note. A tempting menu pivots on Caribbean influences, while staying grounded by fusing island flavors and American favorites. Popular picks include shrimp and scallop ceviche, jerk chicken quesadillas, and home-made tortilla chips with fresh guacamole.
Ambience
The Rittenhouse Square restaurant transports guests to a tropical yet sophisticated setting. Rum Bar allows its patrons to feel like their dining on an island somewhere in the Caribbean. Inside, patrons can find exposed brick and a modern design as well as a bamboo-inspired bar and a pirate lounge

Try the Rum Connection. A rummy take on a cherry-lime rickey.

Way too small. Small bar. Expensive drinks. DJ decent. Much more of a lounge then a bar. Too packed for the style of the bar. Place with less people would be prime.
