There’s a new cupcake dealer in town and it goes by the name Pamcakes.  Located on 20^th Street between Lombard and Pine, this boutique cupcakery pedals some rather tasty creations.  From the fluffy cake to the buttery frosting, with just one bite you can tell these scratch cupcakes are made with only the finest ingredients.

Pamcakes is owned by Pam Kingsland, a former corporate drone who left behind suits and pumps for spatulas and aprons.  Her baking efforts initially started in her home kitchen.  Due to the immense popularity of her cupcakes, Pam eventually moved into a charming storefront just off of Rittenhouse Square.

Traditional flavors like vanilla and chocolate are always available, but the standout flavors include Key Lime Pie (key lime cake, lime whipped cream filling and fresh whipped cream topping) and Cookies and Cream (vanilla cookie crumb cake, vanilla cream filling and vanilla buttercream topped with cookie crumbs). Cupcakes start at $2.50 and are well worth the expense.

Pamcakes is open every day except Monday.  Though the storefront is small, there is always a wonderful selection of confections to pick from.  For larger orders, it is suggested you call in advance.
