A young man with shaggy hair, dressed in a collared paisley button-down and multiple beaded necklaces with a peaceful and “no destruction” attitude walks by you with a cool grin…no, this is not a scene from a Woodstock or Haight-Ashbury documentary, but rather a description of the lead-singer of the psychedelic indie-rock band, Foxygen. The band formed in California in 2005 when Sam France and guitarist/keyboardist Jonathan Rado were just 15 years old playing some local gigs and mainly making appearances at their high school. At that time, The Beatles, other 1960s artists, and The Brian Jonestown Massacre were their main influences.

During Monday’s Billboard Music Awards, Miguel’s performance had everyone singing “Adorn” till the singer attempted a long jump from on the stage which landed him on top of two fans. Toward the end of his performance Miguel miscalculated a jump from across the stage, leading to a dramatic collision with his leg smashing one the fan's head and left upper body hitting another fan!
In true artist etiquette, Miguel continued to finish the rest of his performance as if nothing happened due to its live television coverage. But viewers at home, went to Twitter to discuss the freak accident that happened right before their eyes, making #miguel the trending topic of the night and the number one question, “Is she okay?”
Trying something new can create two different scenarios. It can end up as a failed attempt that can ultimately ruin someone’s reputation and reputability to the point that their name is tainted by that single instance. Or it can actually end up on the opposite end of the spectrum, making it so critically and commercial acclaimed that it could boost a person’s notability overnight. Although finding fame is already a mission that has been far accomplished by world famous DJ and producer Joel Zimmerman aka DeadMau5, his hunger for something new still seems unfulfilled as he heads into the studio with an interesting choice for a collaborator.

Let the Star Wars: Episode VII casting rumors begin! Jonathon Rhys Meyers may be in talks to star in the new installment of the blockbuster science fiction series. Although it's been all but confirmed that Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher, and Mark Hamill are all already on board, Meyers would be the first new actor the join the Star Wars family.
Meyers already has a packed schedule, between starring in NBC's new Dracula series, and playing the villian Valentine Morgenstern in the film adapation of Cassandra Clare's The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, which also has two sequels; Meyers being cast in Star Wars might committ him to another long-term project. Director J.J. Abrams does have a personal connection with the actor, since he previously worked with him on Mission: Impossible III, so maybe he can convince Meyers to sign on!
Star Wars: Episode VII has a tentative release date of 2015.
