Summer flings are quite nice. Unfortunately, they usually end once the fall season begins--which is exactly what happened with Blake Lively & Leonardo Dicaprio. The couple, who had been dating since May, called it quits recently according to US Weekly and PEOPLE Magazine. A source close to DiCaprio told PEOPLE that the two will still "remain friends." Yea, yea, yea, that's what they all say.
Perhaps DiCaprio, who is 36, wants to settle down....it's about time! Or maybe Ms. Lively, 24, just wants to enjoy her 20s and take advantage of all the other good looking actors coming her way?

Mum's the word on a possible reboot of the Sex & the City franchise. Rumors and talks have been going on (for what seems like forever) of a new film, but this time, it will supposedly serve as a flashback piece that documents the early days of our favorite NYC ladies. The alleged plotlines would come from the prequel novels of writer/creator Candace Bushnell: "The Carrie Diaries," and "Summer in the City."
Happy happy birthday! Who doesn't love Kristen Bell? Honestly?...Alright, maybe the Upper Eastsiders - whom she tends to nark on (anonymously) as resident Gossip Girl blogger - aren't her biggest fans. On the other hand, we at the Almost Famous blog love her character, since we have a lot in common ;)
Aside from her usual gig being the Carrie Bradshaw-esque narrator of the popular CW teen drama, Bell has been a familiar face both on television AND the silver screen. She made a huge impact on us with the cult TV hit Veronica Mars, as well as making us laugh in comedic roles in films such as Forgetting Sarah Marshall and You Again. She even changed it up as a dancer in Burlesque, in addition to a cameo apperance in this year's Scream 4.
Leighton Meester was seen back at work today filming for Gossip Girl after a nice long hiatus. Despite the scorching New York City heat, the actress remained professional and braved the weather to shoot scenes for the hit TV show's fifth season.
The 25 year-old stunner looked amazing on set wearing a bright yellow ensemble. She finished off the getup with a orange bag and pretty yellow pumps. Blair Waldorf may be unbearable at times, but girl never fails to impress with her style. During breaks, Meester takes a breather from portraying the fabulous socialite and prefers to wear comfy flip flops & reading as opposed to shopping & causing mischief in the Upper East Side.
Taylor Momsen (formerly of Gossip Girl), and now lead singer of the band The Pretty Reckless, was seen at the 2011 Download Festival in Donington Park Leicestershire exposing herself -yet again.
The barely there attire is getting definite attention but due to her age, it may be all the wrong kinds of attention. The juvenile's attire not only consists of 'fashion' statements of electrical tape nip x's and barely there tee-shirts, but also thigh high stockings, garter belts, and stripper heals. As with the red carpet at any award show, we have our best, and we have our worst. We’re blown away at the fantastic stylistic choices of rising starlets such as Lily Collins, Selena Gomez, and Leighton Meester. We’re also equally shocked at the ensembles worn by other celebutantes including Nicki Minaj and Jessica Szohr, but our extreme reactions are definitely not positive. No, instead we struggle to believe how anyone can wear mismatched Louboutins, too-tight bustiers, and crazy colored jumpsuits while attempting to be fashionable! During last night’s MTV Movie Awards, we saw all of our favorite celebrities decked out in their best Award-worthy outfits. We saw everything from ball gowns to mini dresses to even rompers, and we loved them all (for the most part!). Some of the major trends highlighted were lace, animal print, and metallic designs. Here are our top 15 favorite looks from this year’s event...
1. Selena Gomez’s Giambattista Valli-designed look topped our list. The Disney starlet opted for light, summery-toned separates and a clutch designed by Cecilia. She told MTV's red carpet reporter and Project Runway alum Christian Siriano that as soon as she saw the trendy, but age-appropriate look, she was sure it the one!
