HALLOWEEN NYC
1. Red Bull, to keep you fueled until the wee hours of the morning. I also suggest a straw, to avoid having to reapply lipstick, and leaving a gross looking lip stain on the edge.
2. Eyelash glue, because there is nothing more unattractive than being denied a kiss by that cute boy dressed as Zorro because your false eyelash is stuck to your cheek.
3. Fold up flats by Yosi Samra. These double as the quickest way to get from party to party, and a comfortable way to get home. (Plus, you can point and laugh at all of the tipsy girls tipping over in their heels without being one!)
To be honest, I have no clue why this cocktail is called ‘Black Cat’; ‘Purple Cat’ would be a better fit perhaps. But the sweet blue curacao, strong pure vodka and lime soda with the refreshing taste of cranberry juice, does make a nice tasting cocktail to get the party started on this hollows’ eve.
Ingredients:
1 shot blue curacao
1 shot vodka
3 shots lemon lime soda
1 shot cranberry juice
½ shot fresh squeezed lime juice

Halloween 2010 is rapidly approaching and Joonbug is your source for the hottest Halloween parties. Halloween should be a fun and exciting night, but the planning should not be scary at all!! Joonbug has numerous venues that can satisfy anyone’s budget and party expectations!! Joonbug will also be providing suggestions for your Halloween 2010 costumes so that you can be the scariest attendee!! Now that you know where to party and what to wear, lets look back at the best Halloween candies!! Let admit it, year after year we use an old pillowcase (maybe decorated?) and ask for candy. Then come home, trade and divide the best stuff amongst friends and siblings, and then engorge ourselves on those pieces of sugary delight!! We eat until we’re sick, go to bed, then do the same thing the following day, or until our parents take the candy away and hide it until next Halloween (yes it has happened to me!!) Here are a few of the best Halloween candy treats!! Suggestions??
Just go with it. Money's tight and Halloween is just a few weeks away. Instead of hitting up the local stores just browse around the apartment for decorative ideas. By just spray painting an old Mac and mouse orange and brown you've got yourself your very own Mac-O-Lantern. Its Halloween. Its o.k. to be a little cheesy.
You may be too old to trick or treat but you are never too old to appreciate Halloween. Instead of going door-to-door, heckling strangers for stale candy, host a witchy bash of your own. It's an easier task than you might think.
To find an assortment of top-notch Halloween recipes, consult the Food Network’s collection of chefs. Everyone from Duff (Ace of Cakes) to Bobby Flay (Boy Meets Grill and Throwdown) have got it going on. But if money and time are tight, the go-to gal is always going to be Sandra Lee of Semi-Homemade Cooking. Her Halloween Grimy Guts with Brie is sure to be a smash hit.
I'm in a know-it-all phase today and so here I go again with yet another prediction. With Halloween quickly approaching, it is only natural that I would be thinking about the costumes that we are guaranteed to see this October.
Most folks take their cues from pop culture so we will surely be seeing many Jersey Shore cast members walking around. Expect the most likely ones to be Snooki, The Situation, J Woww and Pauly D. Although sadly, we know for many this won't be that far of a stretch. The main events from the Summer blockbuster Kick Ass, Big Daddy, Mr. Kick Ass himself and my personal favorite, Hit Girl will roam the streets. And in keeping with the superhero trend, Scott Pilgrim vs The World characters will not be far and few between. Other looks you can expect will be the mad hatter and the red queen from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, and many homemade renditions of Lady Gaga's most memorable outfits from this year. And with the whole eerily coincidental Russian spy ring take down that occurred shortly before Angelina Joilie's film Salt debuted, we know that all the girls are going to want to be Anna Chapman sans the topless photos.
