KANYE WEST
Well… doesn’t look like the Kardashians are going anywhere anytime soon.
Sources tell TMZ that the Kardashian Klan have signed a new $40 million dollar deal with E!. This deal guarantees them more seasons with the channel making it the biggest deal ever in reality TV.
Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kris and Bruce will get the larger share of the money, and they are each getting equal pay. Kendall, Kylie and Rob will also be paid equally, on a lower pay grade. Scott Disick and his son Mason have a separate deal and the same goes for Lamar, who hammered out a package deal to appear in both "Khloe and Lamar" and "Keeping Up with the Kardashians."
This contract only includes the already existing shows, so if Kim and new beau Kanye plan on getting a spin off show, they would need to work out a new contract for even MORE money!
This $40 million deal also does not include product endorsements, appearances, and any other items associated with the show that Kim and the rest of the gang are able to get their money-grubbing fingers on.
Hollywood's new publicity "power" couple is possibly the most loathed new celeb duo. Call it what you like but they are making no attempt in keeping their romance low key. Kanye West, 34, admitted to falling in love with Kim Kardashian, 31, in a song released 2 weeks ago, originally called “Thera-flu,” renamed “Way Too Cold.” And shortly thereafter, in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres Khloe Kardashian says "They're cute together."
Keeping their love in the limelight, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West stepped out in New York together to do a little shopping in Soho on Saturday. The midday outing came after Kim jetted into town with sister Khloe following a Sear's press event in Chicago for their new The Kardashian Kollection line.
We're not sure which season is more brutal on our hair, winter or summer. Both bring extreme weather and temperatures that make our locks look like a hot mess. From the humidity in the summer to the icy rain and snowfall in the winter, our mane is all over the place. There are some days not even the best products can save our heads. Sometimes it's out of our control. However, there are some hair faux pas we can control (at least most of them).
Here are some hair no-no's that never work, no matter how trendy they may become.
The internationally known turn-table genius, label owner, and disc jockey A-Trak has been at the top of his game since the age of 15 where he won the 1997 DMC World DJ Championship. That was only the beginning for the beat scratching artist who most currently was hand selected by none other than Kanye West to be his exclusive tour DJ. From stadium performances to intimate nightclub DJ sets, A-Trak is considered an electronic music icon who's record label Fool's Gold can be held responsible for launching careers for artists such as Kid Cudi and Kid Sister.
It is with both pleasure and shock that fans accept news of Mr. West's decision to do his own unofficial remix of Adele’s “One and Only” off of the 21 album. With the sad news that Adele would be undergoing throat surgery and cancelling the rest of her tour dates, this little remix is a little silver lining on the dark cloud that must be hovering over fans today.
Kanye West skillfully ups the speed of the song that transforms the soul belter’s voice into a mixture of pure soul and helium-infused beauty. The description sounds weird but it actually works for the tight verse he drops somewhere after the second verse of the original track.
It may not be his birthday or even the anniversary of his untimely death, but as far as I'm concerned any day is a good day for Biggie. With the House/EDM phenomenon taking over music, it's refreshing to hear any Biggie or classic hip hop at all on the radio. And I'm not talking about a mashed up "Hypnotize" version with all the unse-unse-unse added in. I'm talking classic, clean, straight up hip hop. With even rappers (uhm hm Kanye?) taking the house music route, we're hard-pressed to find many venues where we can dance to hip hop these days. So in honor of our dearly departed non-synthesized real hip hop and the musical magic of yesteryear, here's the best of Biggie Smalls --from his tracks to his quotes to his ridiculously awesome outfits.
Best Lyrical Track: "Juicy"
The beat is crazy, but the lyrics on this track cemented Biggie's legendary status. Any dreamer, white, black, purple or otherwise can relate to his struggle to the top. It's maybe one of the most uplifting songs when you're having a rough day. I mean, if Biggie could make it, who can't? Lyrical perfection.
Hip Hop and House Music? Together? Yessir.
Think of it like mixing a cocktail. Rum and Coke. Vodka and Redbull. Or a more g-rated example, Peanut Butter and Jelly. All of these things are fine on their own. Separately created, and can be enjoyed by themselves. But when combined with each other, a whole new creation of flavor is born. Hip-House, or House Rap, explores just that: the combination of hip/hop elements with house music - and creates a whole new genre of music.
Minor History Tidbit: The first actual hip-house song was "Rok Da House" by the Beatmasters and Cookie Crew in 1987.
Just as New York Fashion Week makes its way around our corner the newest breakout designer in front of all the excitement is none other than Grammy winner ,controversial recording artist Kanye West. The news came as a surprise to fans when Kanye revealed that his new self titled collection to be released this year will not be a menswear line, but a women’s collection. The collection is scheduled to be revealed at Lincoln Center during this year’s September Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week.
The buzz began three years prior when Kanye fan bloggers monitored and reported his activities in preparation to release a contemporary menswear line. This line formally known as Pastelle would follow the success of his collection of trademarked Louis Vuitton sneakers. Pastelle was highly anticipated by fans, and was highly criticized by the fashion community after reports that he had revamped the collections previous soft image. In efforts to create a brand that would match the menswear line and its new direction the brand was renamed Pastellemuseum (also viewed on his promotional Tumblr account as Past Tell Museum).
While summer and live music go hand-in-hand, many marquee acts save their big tours for the fall, giving showgoers a break from the daily grind of school and work. Armed with new releases and a tour bus, here are five acts you really don't want to miss.
Watch the Throne Tour
With such a long-anticipated (and highly praised) release, it only makes sense that the mega-collaboration between Jay-Z and Kanye West would hit the road. I'd call it the rap equivalent of Batman & Robin taking the stage, but with egos has huge as 'Ye and Hov's, there's no room for a sidekick. (Dates here)
The beautiful and talented Beyoncé is finally pregnant!!
Everyone must have been wondering when B was going to get pregnant, but now it has been confirmed! The 29-year-old singer performed her song, "Love on Top" at the VMAs and then at the end, rubbed her belly while hubby Jay-Z and friend Kanye looked on. Aww, how cute!
I bet if it's a girl she will definitely be a DIVA! If it's a boy, he will learn all the game he needs from his father.
Congratulations B & Jay!
