STYLE-STALKER
Recently, Joonbug had the opportunity to chat with George Kotsiopoulos. He teamed up with Century 21 Department Stores, which has locations all over in Brooklyn, NYC and NJ to share the inside scoop on must-have holiday gifts for everyone on your list and fashion tips on looking party-ready this holiday season.
George is a well-known magazine editor, fashion consultant, stylist and television personality. Millions of people tune in to watch him as a co-host of Fashion Police on the E! Network. He is currently style editor at large for C magazine and formerly a fashion associate at The New York Times Magazine. JB was curious to hear what his top holiday suggestions are and to also obtain inside style advice. Cutting down on anxiety with helpful shopping tips is always welcome!
With the hectic holiday season approaching, many of us are looking for style options that work! Joonbug heard the buzz surrounding the LC Lauren Conrad for Kohl's collection and wanted to check it out!
This fun line features flirty, glamorous and feminine pieces that are perfect to wear for upcoming holiday parties. "I'm always attracted to the bows, the girly aspects," says Conrad. There's a black lace trim dress accented with a bow at the top of the neck, that's really feminine and so chic - reminiscent of a modern day Audrey Hepburn. Simply wear your hair in a top bun, add a crimson red lip, winged eye-liner, stylish clutch, your favorite platform pumps and you're instantly glamtastic. The best part? For forty-eight ($48) you can't go wrong with this dress, but the line has many more stylish options.
When we got word that the ever fearless and outspoken rapper (and occasional mermaid), Azealia Banks, was teaming up with ASOS along with Ellie Goulding and Charlotte Free for the #BestNightEver collection we were pretty excited. The collection features fun party inspired duds and now we can style stalk Miss Banks since she contributed to the ASOS Daily Edit picking her favorite choices for 'date night,' to 'going out' to 'work' outfits.
Just released is the video for her song "Fierce" where you can catch her donning the fun and festive collection. Watch it below!
Say hey to boyish tailoring with a totally glam bite. Geo-patterned prints, clean lines and magpie metallic heels are all sensationally sprinkled through out the undeniably chic, English singer-songwriter sensation, Ellie Goulding’s collection aptly dubbed ‘#BestNightEver’ for ASOS.com. Here are some of our favorite must-have pieces:
No matter what your style or your budget, Century 21 Stores carries a vast selection for all. After doing research on how men shop, Century 21 decided to re-vamp their stores to enable customers to shop with much more ease. Let's face it, most men usually go to the store to pick-up items, not to really "shop" per say, but with a certain mission in mind.
With the launch of her clothing line and a fifth season picked up by Bravo for The Rachel Zoe Project, Zoe has proven she's an industry mainstay. Her latest collection which has a carefree, yet stylized vibe really has caught our eye over at Joonbug.
Recently, Rachel showcased her designs at a special fashion show, where she was able to interact with her devout followers and client base. "Our card members love Rachel," said Deborah Curtis, vice president of Entertainment Marketing & Sponsorships at American Express. "For her this is a consumer show, where she can really engage with her customer."
Just when we thought it wasn't possible for our sneakers to get any cooler, we heard about the latest Puma Black Label Alexander Mc Queen Collection. Influenced by English medieval fashion; armour, corsets, metallics, mysterious graphics, bold details all infused with modern design. This line clearly is a style statement all in itself. Created for both men and women, you can wear these sneakers as your main fashion focal point or be ultra-creative from head to toe using the McQueen sneaker as your guide. How you style it - is up to you! Much like the freedom of expression McQueen represents, the possibilites are endless. This collection pays homage to the design direction of the iconic British fashion house.
As you'd suspect from any fashion it-girl, Olivia Palermo j’adores Dior. It’s always one of her Paris Fashion Week highlights, with the Spring/Summer 2013 show being no different, as Olivia shared on her blog before jetting to Africa.
We can't get enough of Olivia's navy Dior peplum dress, Giuseppe Zanotti navy pointed toe pumps, a furry clutched sized purse by Dior and sunglasses a la Westward Leaning.
Always in style, Olivia nailed the of-the-moment mixed fabric trend. We at Joonbug, love, love, love!
One of our favorite online stores here at the Joonbug headquarters is Lulus.com. We adore this dress and accessory heavy haven because it offers party-ready looks at a pretty decent price point. Since the editorial staff is always on the scene at the hottest events and clubs across New York City, it’s imperative we stay on trend. With Fall in full swing here are a few of our favorite pieces a la Lulus:
The 2012 Emmy red carpet featured some amazing fashions that were sure to "wow." The Emmy nominees this season included red-carpet darlings like the saucy Sofia Vergara, the witty Tina Fey, the statuesque Nicole Kidman, the effervescient Zooey Deschanel and the stylish femmes of "Mad Men" including Jessica Pare who was breathtaking in a custom Jason Wu white and black one-shoulder gown. Hollywood glamour was cleary present on the red carpet as your favorite actresses arrived for the celebratory evening. Heidi Klum also looked ravishing dressed in a flowing pale blue chiffon gown, with figure flattering slits and Marilyn Monroe inspired hair & makeup. January Jones went goth in an ultra-sexy Zac Posen creation accented with a sleek pulled-back hairstyle and sultry smokey eye. Who was your favorite beauty of the night?!
