Humblebrag: The Best of the Bragasaurus

Finally, there's a name for this. You know that thing your cousin does when you see him at Thanksgiving?

"Yeah man, it's been a good year. But it's stressful, you know? Buying your second house is just a nervewracking experience."

That's a humblebrag -- a thinly-veiled attempt to get people to notice how sweet your life is, while making it clear how tough you have it, too. (And no, we don't know what that stress is like. We're trying to make sure that rats don't try to sublet our apartments over the holidays.) And while plenty of self-aware people have been using the hashtag #humblebrag lately, Twitter user @humblebrag has virtuously flown the banner of the twittiots by retweeting the people that say this stuff in earnest. Our Favorite Facebook Subscriptions

Here's how it works: with the click of a button, you can receive instant updates from friends, celebrities, and public figures who want to share their thoughts with the the world.

Sound familiar?

The "subscribe" button, Facebook's most recent invention (besides its expected $10 billion IPO), is as close to a Twitter feed as you can get. But like Microsoft in the 90's, Facebook is capable of taking someone else's idea, relabeling it, and making it accessible to everyone.

You've always been subscribed to your friends: whenever one of them changes their status or posts a photo, it automatically pops up on your news feed. But with Facebook limiting personal accounts to five thousand friends (Angelina Jolie still hasn't accepted my friend request or my numerous phone calls), it can be difficult to keep track of your favorite athletes, movie stars, journalists, and web personalities. By clicking "subscribe," your news feed keeps you updated with any news they feel compelled to share.

While the computing power of Facebook allows its users to share more photos, links, and info than its compeTwitters (not to mention its newly-upped character limit of 63,206), the subscription service is new, and only a handful of celebrities are taking advantage. With its unequaled Facebook stalking skills, the Joonbug staff has compiled the Best Facebook Subscriptions thus far.

50 Cent Urges You To 'Stop Crying' In New Single

50 Cent fans eager for some new tuneage from the rapper-turned-businessman are in luck today. The Queens-bred MC dropped his menacing new track "Stop Crying" off his upcoming The Big 10 mixtape, which celebrates the 10-year-anniversary of 50's appropriately named 2002 mix 50 Cent is the Future.

Complemented by some artwork of a demon-ized Curtis Jackson, "Stop Crying" is a declaration of the rapper's endurance and toughness. A noticeably more gruff-sounding Fiddy spits lines like "You know attempted murder was the case that they gave me/ 9 bullet wounds know, now I’m half crazy." And while hearing 50 urge you to "stop your bloodclot crying" might make you chuckle, you likely won't want to laugh in his face by the time the song is over.

Lily Allen Officially a Mommy

No one wanted to be a mother more than Lily Allen. We are thrilled to report that her wish has been granted.

The 26-year-old has given birth to a baby girl over this past weekend with painter/decorator husband Sam Cooper.

What makes this news so delightful to share is due to Lily Allen's share of heartbreak in the past. In 2008, she suffered an early miscarriage when she was with then-boyfriend Ed Simmons. Another devastating event occurred last November of 2010 where she lost her baby boy with Cooper - six months into the pregnancy - after she contracted a viral infection.

Lily Allen's journey towards motherhood has been difficult one, full of ups & downs. We are glad to learn of the good news - she truly deserves it. Congratulations to her, Sam, & Mini-Cooper!

Nicola Roberts Denies Calling Madonna Out

Did Madonna bite off a little more than a respectable nod from a certain UK pop sensation?

Any chance to write a story about Girls Aloud member Nicola Roberts (labelled by the British media as the strange-yet-ethereal ginger one) is a good thing in our eyes. If you have been a loyal reader of my articles, you need not a keen eye to realize my ridiculous obsession with them.

According to New York Magazine, Madonna’s single "Give Me All Your Love" was prematurely leaked on the Internet, with the completed version to feature Nicki Minaj & M.I.A. Almost immediately, the single was bashed by Nicola fans for its supposed similarities to Nicola's first solo single "Beat of My Drum".

What's Next for Newly Out Zachary Quinto?

This past Sunday, in an interview with New York Magazine, Star Trek star Zachary Quinto had officially revealed himself as a gay man.

New York Magazine caught up with the 34-year-old actor again after the news of his coming out hit the public: "When I sat down with Ben on Monday and had that conversation, I knew what I was going to do and it was a very clear choice for me to do it in the way that I did it, and I'm really glad that that's the way it all unfolded,...I never ever imagined that it would be — I mean, I guess I figured people would figure it out, hear about it, but I didn't know it would be like global news! I was like, What? It was really crazy to me. People from all over the world were reaching out to me on the Internet, on Twitter. Social media makes it a lot easier now. I'm just really honored and thrilled and grateful."

Smile Pretty, Lindsay

Sadly, this capture of Lindsay Lohan's most recent mugshot (her sixth one, to be exact) gives us all a sense of déjà vu.

It was just yesterday, 10/19/11, when the actress appeared in court and was charged for violating her probation. She was put into custody, handcuffs and all that drama, and was briefly sent to jail before making the $100,000 bail. Lindsay was sentenced by Judge Stephanie Sautner to contribute 16 hours of community service at the county morgue each week until the next hearing on 11/02/11, which will determine if she will serve jailtime or not.The actress is then required to show up at the coroner's office at 7 a.m. to perform her shifts.
