A BEAUTIFUL MESS
We consider ourselves “wash and go” types around here. Between work, errands, the gym, a social life, and any semblance of sleep, there’s not a whole lot of time left in the mornings to worry about an intricate hairstyle. For most of us, minimal product and a quick blow dry constitute a good hair day. But with summer humidity just around the corner, a new look is in order.
It seems lately that wherever we turn, women have moved away from layers of curling-iron perfected curls and have opted instead to twist their hair out of their face and into a braid – with different styles producing a multitude of results. Once reserved for young schoolgirls, our favorite blogs, magazines, and tastemakers have sung the praises of this low maintenance hairstyle. Call it the “Katniss Effect”: A busy, badass chick needs a quick, reliable look.
