Fourth of July is right around the corner and there's no better way to treat yourself than with a fun getaway to NYC...or a staycation if you're already here! Gansevoort Meatpacking and Gansevoort Park Avenue are offering up a couple of exclusive Independence Day specials that are sure to get you into the USA-spirit.
Get Lit on the Park Package - offered at Gansevoort Park Avenue, starting at $536 per night - Includes a NYC map, continental breakfast for two at Asellina, $20 Metro pass, two Gansevoort baseball caps, BBQ lunch for two served on the rooftop, half price parking, 30-minute fusion massage at Exhale Spa, 30-minute facial at Exhale Spa, and Exhale gift bag with suncreen and SPF lip balm.
The meatpacking district is home to plenty of great places to dine. Yesterday the doors opened for a contender hoping to join the ranks. Toy, featuring modern Chinese and Japanese cuisine, is located in the Gansevoort Hotel on 13th street and 9th avenue. It replaces Tanuki Tavern and Carte Blanche to create a dining experience with its own heartbeat.
Daniel and Derek Koch, dining and nightlife gurus, created Toy in conjunction with China Grill Management. The twins acknowledge that the area offers plenty of Asian dining options but don’t think those options incorporate dining and nightlife the way Toy has proposed. Complete with a live DJ booth, the restaurant transforms to a nightclub at 1am.
