Glamour Announces Best Dressed Women of 2012

Glamour has announced their best dressed women of 2012 including 50 A-listers, from socialites, to musicians, to actresses and models. All were handpicked off of the fashion-forward apple tree and given a thumbs up for the attire they have sported so far this year. Some of the women are more obvious choices like Angelina Jolie and Kate Moss; however, Glamour also chose peeps that have made some questionable fashion choices in the public eye. We here at Glam Damn It have a few we’d like to applaud, and other’s that, well, we just keep getting second-hand embarrassment for- as far as their fashion sense goes!

Andrew Garfield Set To Make Broadway Debut

Looks like there will be two Spideys on Broadway!

As most of us know, The Amazing Spider-Man is due in theaters this July. Before the huge buzz kicks in, star Andrew Garfield is set to make his Broadway debut. Garfield will star alongside Phillip Seymour Hoffman in the revival of Arthur Miller's Death of a Salesman.
The actor is most definitely anticipating the huge buzz this movie will receive and he becoming a household name, but before then he is enjoying some down time. The calm before the storm seems pretty appropriate.

Former Peter Parker and star of the massive Spider-Man franchise, Tobey Maguire, spoke with Andrew about how to handle the craziness of quick success on his coming out party:

GLAM DAMN IT Emma Stone classic red carpet look
Emma Stones' Looks For Less

She showed us her funny side in Superbad; she showed us a more dramatic role in The Help. Now, Emma Stone is not only becoming one of Hollywood’s most loveable actresses, she’s one of the most stylish too! As a result, Stone has been on the watch at all the awards shows. Up next: the Oscars! Her fashion sense has evolved into a sleek, and elegant style, but she also knows how to take it down a notch with some fantastic RTW duds that give great inspiration for styles that don't have to break the bank.

GLAM DAMN IT Lea Michele
The Golden Globes Best Dressed

No matter the occasion, red carpets, celebrities, and paparazzi never fails to bring us fabulous fashion we can revel in for days! The evening captured a theme of "classic elegance," says Nicole Richie, celebrity mentor on the upcoming series Fashion Star and famous boho beauty. Shining, shimmering, and showing some skin our favorite Hollywood bombshells lit up the event. Here are our nominees for Unparalleled Style in Best Golden Globe Fashion.

Lea Michele looked fabulous in this silver and sheer Marchesa gown. All of that choreographed dancing and singing has completely paid off in the form of an amazing body! To offset the elaborately embroidered design, Lea kept it simple with a classic updo, understated makeup (smokey eye, nude lip), and a bright emerald green cocktail ring.

2011's Best Fashion Moments

2011 has been an incredible year, sartorially speaking. From Anne Hathaway's eight costume changes at the Academy Awards to Diane Kruger...well, whenever the woman puts on clothes, a few of the ladies that didn't make the cut were this close. Ultimately, we decided that the criteria to make Joonbug's "Top Looks of 2011" list lay within three very simple (and very visible) requirements: originality, memorability and game-change factor. Once we began to whittle down our large list, we found that very few looks - no matter how much we loved them - fit these requirements.

Jim Carrey Loves Him Some Emma

Jim Carrey is a wacky one, isn't he? This time, the 49-year-old actor turned to Youtube for his latest antics. In a strange but almost sweet video uploaded a couple of days ago, Carrey dedicates his heart to actress Emma Stone, from this year's hit The Help.

The entire time, the comedian keeps a straight face while proclaiming his true feelings" for the young starlet. Confusing as well as creepy:

"Emma, I think you're all the way beautiful. Not just pretty, but smart and kind-hearted. And if I were a lot younger, I would marry you...We would have chubby little freckle-faced kids, we'd laugh all day long, go camping and play Yahtzee. Tell ghost stories by the fire."

GLAM DAMN IT Orange and purple, an early colorblocking trend.
Post V-Day Red and Pinks

As the color blocking trend has continued to grow, it's hard to tell how long it will actually last. It's also hard to tell how many new trends will emerge from the original trend itself. It's very rare to see micro trends emerge from seemingly temporary trends, but from color blocking, we've already seen 'same color, different shade,' purple and orange combos, and now, the ever-dreaded pink and red!

At the premiere of the much anticipated Friends With Benefits, established starlet and rising fashionista Emma Stone donned a Giambattista Valli ensemble and nude Louboutin pumps.

During last night’s MTV Movie Awards, we saw all of our favorite celebrities decked out in their best Award-worthy outfits. We saw everything from ball gowns to mini dresses to even rompers, and we loved them all (for the most part!). Some of the major trends highlighted were lace, animal print, and metallic designs. Here are our top 15 favorite looks from this year’s event...

1. Selena Gomez’s Giambattista Valli-designed look topped our list. The Disney starlet opted for light, summery-toned separates and a clutch designed by Cecilia. She told MTV's red carpet reporter and Project Runway alum Christian Siriano that as soon as she saw the trendy, but age-appropriate look, she was sure it the one!

Bye, Bye Kirsten Dunst

Easy A alum seems to be moving in on Dunst's old flame. Word is that Sony Pictures Entertainment will be offering the role of Mary Jane Watson to Emma Stone for the latest Spider-Man installment. No worries though Dunst. Andrew Garfield who is currently starring in The Social Network will be taking your pal Toby's spot. No need to quarrel even though Stone is starting to become the new it girl in Hollywood too.
