As cliché as it sounds- it’s the most wonderful time of the year. Even scientifically speaking- shopping produces endorphins- our happiness drug; is there any other time that we shop more than just before Christmas? That, paired with the out-of-this-world adverts kindly created by NYC classics like Henri Bendel and Saks Fifth Avenue, have us practically eating out of the palm of their deliciously gorgeous, string-lit, ornament-strewn, hand. But before any holiday purchases are made, some window shopping is in order. The window displays of NYC are a little piece of magic created intricately for anyone who still believes in Christmas. And while yes, it’s a ploy to get you inside, you can still enjoy the beauty for what it’s worth- and maybe score some incredible stocking stuffers (Think Bendel bangle or Serendipity-esque gloves from Bloomies).
Women are like Mary Poppins when it comes to their purses, you never know what you’ll find at the bottom of our bags. Searching for your lip stick, handheld mirror, or wallet could be rather difficult in our dark-bottomless-pit of a purse. But now, thanks to Candy Store’s new line of accessories, you’ll never have to go looking ever again!
Established in 1895, Henri Bendel was the first retailer to introduce Coco Chanel’s designs to the United States. Throughout the brand’s long history, it has gained a reputation for welcoming new talent. Henri Bendel has helped launch the careers of Anna Sui, Todd Oldham, James PurcelI, as well as many other iconic designers.
Today, Henri Bendel no longer sells clothing, but has now shifted the focus solely to high-quality accessories and cosmetics. The company currently operates eleven stores, including six boutique-sized stores, four medium-sized stores, and a massive flagship on Fifth Avenue. And, multiple new stores are currently underway to debut late next year.

Following her dictum speech, Vogue's European Editor At Large Hamish Bowles, will lead an open question and answer session. Regine Basha went from selling the costume jewelry and hats that she purchased in New York City at the French Quarter Market in New Orleans (where she attended Tulane University), to selling her very own photo-luminescent handbags to high-end boutiques like Intermix, Henri Bendel, and Fred Segal. Her brand, 2enlight10 by Regine Basha, was created "to give women and girls the opportunity to feel like stars," the designer says. "Besides allowing them to ‘shine,' wearing one of my creations will make sure that they stand out and feel special."
