How to Look like a '70s Rock Goddess
The Rolling Stones were the band to beat, hair was long and loose, and teenage groupies lined the blocks at a Black Sabbath concert. It was the '70s and rock n roll was here to stay. Feminism was in full swing, and female singers were rocking out, by being both beautiful babes and lead singers. Here at Glam Damn It, we showcase female musicians all the time and show you how to get their gorgeous looks, for today. It's easier than you think. Promise. Joan Jett was the raven-haired toughie and muse of the recent movie Runaways with Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart. The latter starlet famously shagged her long hair to look like the gifted singer. You can pick up the L'Oreal "Pure Black" hair dye at your local drugstore or at drugstore.com. Try out these perfect skinny dark denim Diesel Jeans with brown leather wedged heels and a pair of aviator shades and you'll be driving all the concert boys crazy in no time. Blondie, A.K.A. Debbie Harry, is a natural brunette, but she became famous for her peroxide mane of white blonde hair. The astonishingly good looking rock star lured in her fans, on no account, for the hair, and you can too. After all, blondes may or may not have more fun! You can double as her twin with a bottle of Clairol's "Born Blonde." It can take even the darkest hair up several notches to that coveted hue. Want the peroxide locks with out the commitment (or damage)? Try out one of these short platinum bobbed wigs for a lark. You can shock your friends and look the part for karaoke night. Tie together your glam rock look with an off the shoulder top and leather leggings, and a bright red pout. Stevie Nicks was the dreamy, stunning, poetic lead singer of Fleetwood Mac. She was known for her hippie style and gentle way. You can look like her, easily, and on a bargain. Pick up this '70s style flowing silky satin dress from H&M. Stevie, besides her beautiful voice, is also known for her long blonde tresses. If you have the length naturally, keep it strong and healthy with Garnier Fructis' Strength and Length shampoo and conditioner. If you don't have the hair to emulate Stevie's, invest in affordable hair extensions from Jessica Simpson and Ken Paves, available on Amazon.

Breakfast at Tiffany's Inspired Fashions
Trends seem to come and go, but true beauty is timeless. With the debut of Breakfast at Tiffany's on Broadway many fashionistas are favoring lady-like fashions, but with a cool twist. The combination of yin and yang—feminine and rocker can take your lady-like ensemble to the next level. Iconic movies such as Pretty in Pink also celebrated this fashionable concept. Remember, true style is celebrating the freedom to create a look all your own! Here are some of our feminine fave's at Joonbug.
This gorgeous deconstructed strapless dress by designer Tracy Reese has that fresh, elegant feeling with an up to the minute edge. Perfect for a party, a spring al fresco dinner, or special event this frock will be sure to get you noticed. The cut of the dress is also flattering on numerous body shapes (something Reese is a master of). We can't talk about elegant looks without featuring the bow-belt. Instantly add a pop of color to any look with the addition of a flirty and figure-enhancing belt. This style from Forever 21 adds that classic touch (and the price is right). The perfect stiletto is a must. What's that saying—invest in quality footwear and purse? This pair of peep-toes at Neiman Marcus by Christian Louboutin are a special occasion shoe that's interesting, sexy and demure all in one! These will literally be in your closet forever (or until you wear out the signature red-bottom). No look is complete without a bag to throw all of your social musts-haves—iPhone, lip gloss, business cards, blotting tissues, breath mints, and whatever else. Pastels serve as neutrals this season and literally go with everything in your wardrobe. We are really loving this fab cross-body bag from Rebecca Minkoff at Piperlime (wearing a cross-body bag over a dress is really chic this season, or you can simply wear it on your shoulder). A little bling goes a long way. Add some sparkle and shine with a glittering necklace. How about something with a positive message such as this necklace from In Plush. It seems everything is pulled together with a swipe of your favorite gloss. Instantly brighten up your face and your mood with this fab gloss from L'Oreal. Add an alluring sheen to your lips—making them kissable (no lady in the big city should be without a prince). With argan oil and omega-3 this lip gloss not only looks great, but helps your lips stay über soft!

Wearin’ Of The Green

Spring is the perfect time to infuse vibrant color into your look! We here at Joonbug can't think of a better reason to do so than during the celebration of St. Patrick's Day! Whether you're attending a fun bar crawl, your local parade, or a festive party with close friends—it's time to don the green in a big way! So, raise your pint of Guinness, cheers!

Skimp on Price, Not on Quality

With the holidays rapidly approaching, it seems as though women are not sure which sacrifices should be made in order to make more room in their budget for gift buying. Purchasing skin care and cosmetic products at your local drugstore is a great way to save money, while still continuing to enjoy a quality product. Beware, there are many impostors on the market, but if you choose the items listed below, you will be pleasantly surprised at how great these products really are.

Doutzen Kroes Ushers in a New Era of Models

Doutzen Kroes doesn't fit the bill for most runway models. She has natural curves that "real" women can actually relate to. She was neither scouted nor discovered by a big name agent and she eats bread, cheese, and chocolate as she pleases. Yet she is still wildly sucessful and is renound as a world beauty.

Kroes curvy figure is a beacon of hope for those hoping to abolish the unhealthy model-thin standards. She has found great success as the former face of Calvin Klein Eternity, a L'Oreal spokeswoman, and most recently as one of the most recognizable Victoria's Secret angels. The Dutch native is not shy about voicing the issues she has faced as a more voluptuous model. She openly admitted as a member of the CFDA's round table discussion about too-skinny models that she does not do as many runway shows as she would like because she does not fit the sample size. But if her no. 5 ranking on Forbes' list of top earning models is any indication, models' waistlines and the number of runway shows Kroes books might be on the rise.

Living the Gorgeous Life: A Visit to the Golden Globe Gift Suites

It's awards season once more, and what does that mean? Swag, swag and more swag. Everything from watches to gym memberships are handed out to celebrities and influential industry insiders. It is a chance to do some serious star sighting if you are fortunate enough to make it inside one of these gifts suites located at various swanky venues throughout the Los Angeles area. However, as a true fashionista and beauty product connoisseur, I was most excited by the latest and greatest in beauty and fashion on display. Not to mention, available for sampling.

At the House of Blues, Foundation Room I was delighted to see one of my favorite organic skin care lines, Eminence, debuting their newest "Berry Refined" products. With the help of blueberries, raspberries and blackberries skin is exfoliated and pores minimized, all with an aroma so enticing you might be tempted to taste each masque, peel and serum.
