NICOLE RICHIE
Best known for her relation to her famous father, Lionel Richie, her wacko escapades with Paris Hilton, and her recent imprint in the fashion world, this reality show star turned fashion designer is dabbling in just another area of the industry by coming out with a fragrance this September.
Nicole revealed some details about her elegant new fragrance stating, "I have a very traditional Southern mom- you never left the house without lotion, it wasn't just a one-dimensional smell-there were many different layers.” She draws inspiration from her childhood where she recollects her mother using scents of blackberry, orange, sandalwood and patchouli.
The finale of NBC's Fashion Star concluded a knock-out first season Tuesday night as 4.9 million viewers bit their nails in the anticipation of the first ever Fashion Star winner.
Kara Laricks came into the competition as an unlikely winner, as she started out designing ties, and truthfully, we didn’t even think she’d make it past the first round! But thanks to the fashion industry panel of judges (Jessica Simpson, John Varvatos, & Nicole Richie) Laricks was saved and ultimately stepped her game up, improving by leaps and bounds episode after first episode, and was finally pronounced the winner.

No matter the occasion, red carpets, celebrities, and paparazzi never fails to bring us fabulous fashion we can revel in for days! The evening captured a theme of "classic elegance," says Nicole Richie, celebrity mentor on the upcoming series Fashion Star and famous boho beauty. Shining, shimmering, and showing some skin our favorite Hollywood bombshells lit up the event. Here are our nominees for Unparalleled Style in Best Golden Globe Fashion.
Lea Michele looked fabulous in this silver and sheer Marchesa gown. All of that choreographed dancing and singing has completely paid off in the form of an amazing body! To offset the elaborately embroidered design, Lea kept it simple with a classic updo, understated makeup (smokey eye, nude lip), and a bright emerald green cocktail ring.
Fashion icon Isabella Blow was a big fan of medieval-inspired fashion. Her wedding to Detmar Blow had a “King Arthur” theme, and she (naturally) wore a stunning silver headpiece. As it often does, year’s later mainstream fashion has started to take Isabella’s lead. Medieval headpieces have recently been spotted on runways from Paris to Milan and on fashionable ladies such as Nicole Richie, Elizabeth of Chic Heroin, and Margherita Missoni.
Diverging slightly from last year’s trend of wraparound headbands, a headpiece is usually made from a light metal and will encompass design elements like a jewel over the forehead or a loose chain connecting the front to the back.
Charlotte Ronson, one of our favorite designers of all time, has announced that she will be launching her own line of beauty products this Fall sold exclusively at Sephora! This is only, like, the best news ever!
Styleist has informed us that CR's collection will range from $14- $28 and include beauty products such as eyeshadow palettes, lip glosses, blushes, makeup bags and hair products; each piece in honor of the designer's close friends and family. Aw, how sweet!
Many tabloids reported last week that Nicole Richie was pregnant, publishing new photos of her.
But the star shot down the rumors on Friday.
"Contrary to recent speculation, I am not pregnant," she says in a statement. "This irresponsible reporting continues to feed an atmosphere of self-doubt and insecurity. To publicly point out a change in anyone's body is mean-spirited and cruel. People's bodies change and change again. This is not newsworthy and is a waste of valuable media space that should be used for more important issues."
Richie is already the mom of two, Harlow, 3 and 1 1/2-year-old son Sparrow.
Who already thought these crazy kids were married?
No surprise that these two celebrities make it official with a “winter themed wedding” in Beverly Hills. (Why a winter themed wedding? The bride loves the season… her daughter’s middle name is Winter Kate)
It was a rather intimate affair, holding 150 of the couple’s closest friends and family. The ceremony took place in the home of Nicole’s famed father, Lionel Richie. Nicole’s best friend, Masha Gordon, was the maid of honor, while the bride’s daughter, Harlow, was the flower girl.
The Fountain Coffee Room
9641 Sunset Boulevard
Beverly Hills, CA 90209
For those seeking a more formal atmosphere, accompanied by higher prices and increased chances of coming across Nicole Richie and Joel Madden, perhaps the Polo Lounge - located upstairs from the Fountain Room - would be a better fit. For others seeking a more casual atmosphere, amongst Hollywood's proverbial movers and shakers - folks you many not recognize, but could get a kick out of eavesdropping over conversations about scripts that might just turn into movies you'll see in two years - the Fountain Coffee Room is a great choice.
