"Tomahawk Technique", Sean Paul's fifth studio album has been internationally chart-topping on the other side of the pond since January, peaking at #3 in Switzerland. With its September debut on the horizon in the U.S. the dancehall legend recently stated in an interview with Billboard magazine, that he wanted to take a breath before re-introducing himself to his beloved western fans. Ditching his signature braids for a modern Mohawk and velvet rope aesthetic, Sean Paul's new album seeks to revolutionize reggae and dancehall in exchange for a wider audience. Despite his past success and a sizable following, prior to "Tomahawk Technique" Sean Paul had somewhat of a niche appeal, mainly attracting devout fans of Reggae/Dancehall while influencing hip-hop circles.
Steve Forest and Nicola Fasano, the duo behind Pitbull’s smash hit, “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)” are quite the production couple. The Italian pair with a Latin flair started creating music together at a young age and have succeeded both as solo artists and collaborators. Their resume includes managing their own record label and production company (Jolly Roger - Sound of Pirates); collecting ASCAP awards (the pair won Ascap Latin Award for ‘Best Urban Latin song’, Ascap Pop Award for ‘Best Pop song’ and an Ascap Rhythm & Soul Music Award for ‘Best R&B/Hip-Hop, Rap and Gospel Music song’ in 2009) and remixing the likes of Armin Van Buuren, Alex Guadino, Bob Sinclair, Eric Morillo and Roger Sanchez. On the production end they've worked with stars such as Chris Willis, Kat DeLuna and Pitbull and have collaborated with singers like Max C and Katherine Ellis.
DJ Twist has been tearing up the music scene for over a decade. Now 33, with over 2,000+ shows under his belt, he continues to keep the world dancing; from right here in NYC all the way to Greece, and everywhere in between . From performing live with artists such as David Guetta, LMFAO and Pit Bull, to opening for Jay-Z, he continues to rise to the top. We got a chance to chat with the busy DJ on past, present , and future!

Joonbug: So you started DJing really young. How did you get started?
Enrique Iglesias is bringing his 2010 smash album Euphoria on the road this fall, and George Mason University's Patriot Center is one of the first U.S. stops. Expect high energy renditions of new hits such as "I Like It" and "Tonight (I'm Lovin You)," in addition to decade-spanning classics like "Bailamos" and "Hero."
The bilingual sensation won't be alone on stage, as rising Latin artist Prince Royce will open the event, followed by Iglesias' close friend and collaborator Pitbull.
"Being on tour with Enrique Iglesias and Prince Royce proves that unity through music is still a driving force in our community," said Pitbull in a press release. "It will be a show full of energy and the fans will have a good time."
Success speaks many languages. After dropping his first bilingual studio album Euphoria, pop icon Enrique Iglesias dominated the Billboard charts with hits such as "I Like It" and "Tonight (I'm Loving You)." He's now taking Euphoria on the road, backed by his close friend and frequent collaborator Pitbull, as well as rising star Prince Royce.
“I’m so excited to go out in the States, and this time, with my good friends Pitbull and Prince Royce," said Iglesias in an interview with Ryan Seacrest. "It’s going to be a great show and we hope to see everyone out there. This tour will be unforgettable."
Lanvin decided to take a less serious route for Fall 2011-12 and the result is quite charming. In their video released today, models dance rather awkwardly to Pitbull's 'You Know You Want Me' and we absolutely love it! So they may not have any rhythm, but it's entertaining nonetheless.
It's about time high fashion folk stopped taking themselves so seriously all the time. I mean, as much as we love fashion, it's just fabric. Not brain surgery. Bravo, Lanvin! More, more!

An LA nightclub dropped it's lawsuit against Miami rapper Pitbull in reference to a concert date at the Cudahy establishment, where he appeared but refused to perform. The owners of El Potrero in Cudahy, CA claimed they paid the recording artist $28,000 to perform in May 2009.
Appearing but unsatisfied with the venue's audio system, Pitbull bailed out only four hours before the show, reports say. El Potrero owners allege Pitbull failed to reimburse the venue $28,000. The nightclub later filed an $80,000 lawsuit (Dec 1, 2009) which were said to be accumulated "losses" and damages due to the rapper's cancellation. Pitbull's lawyers denied any kind of wrongdoing on their clients part.
Dismissal of the action requested by the club's attorney's were filed via court papers on Friday. Whether or not a settlement was reached has not been stated. Lawyers recently told Judge Rita Miller; however, that the case was close to being resolved.
The judicial system definitely lost out when Shontelle decided to ditch law school for a shot at R&B stardom. That decision seemed to work out just fine as her first album Shontelligence reached the coveted top Billboard 200.
With her sophomore album No Gravity released last week, Shontelle took a few minutes off touring to speak with Mike Rothman about her huge hit “Impossible”, her future goal to someday work with Alicia Keys, comparisons to Rhianna and believe it or not, the hard-rock band System of a Down made its way into the conversation.
The lineup continues to grow and will feature only the best in the music industry at the Think Pink Rocks concert in Boca Raton on 7 p.m. Oct. 9th.
The third installment of the charity event is set to feature recording artists from SRC Records/Universal, including Akon, Asher Roth, Melanie Fiona, Ray J, and Shontelle, along with special guest Pitbull.
Think Pink Rocks is a South Florida organization dedicated to the early detection of breast cancer awareness.
The Mizner Park Amphitheater in Boca Raton will be the site for the munificent event and will benefit Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, the Boca Raton Community Hospital Women’s Center for Breast Care, and other charities.
