Last Wednesday marked the 16th annual benefit for the Central Park Conservancy, Taste of Summer. The event was a tremendous success, with restaurants from all around New York City showcasing their culinary talents to the sounds of DJ Tom Finn playing crowd favorites. A large white tent complete with décor designed by Ed Libby & Company was set up at Naumberg Bandshell and entertained 1000 of New York’s elite with both an open bar and the chance to sample every dish imaginable. In total, the event raised $650,000 with the help of a silent auction that featured items such as a Tiffany & Co Bridget satchel, a reservation for eight at Rao’s, and a private tour of Isaac Mizrahi’s Studio and a private lunch for the lucky winner and a guest with the man himself. A variety of wines were provided by George Duboeuf and Hob Nob.

It's Halloween week. It's super busy here in the office, and there's an excited anxiety in me knowing that the City is about to go crazy with scary faces, masquerades, and of course, the biggest party New York City has ever seen. This year, Joonbug is taking over an entire pier. Pier 92 that is. Promising to have 3,000 people and a parade of masked faces, Horror on the Hudson is going to be the most epic party you have ever been to and will ever go to. There will be a freaky collection of performances in absolute Halloween style, and it will be your opportunity to hear one of the world's best DJs, Mel Debarge. It sounds quite exciting.
