THE FAME MONSTER
If you want to go on tour with Lady Gaga, be prepared to give up sex for a while. Sources say Gaga implemented a rule that while on tour with her no one can have sex, especially her backup dancers. Her rationale for the rule is that while they are on tour, they are all married to her, and must remain committed to the performance. Some believe she created the rule for the selfish reason that if she's not getting any, neither should anyone else. I'm sure this is just another one of her creative quirks, but there are probably a lot of sexually frustrated husbands and wives at home waiting for the Monster Ball Tour to end!
After the cancellation of the highly anticipated North American “Fame Kills” tour with Kanye West, Lady Gaga has announced that she will, in fact, be touring in the upcoming months. Filling the void that was once taken up by the swollen headed Kanye West will be Kid Cudi, a protégé of Kanye and the “it” guy of the hip-hop world. The duo will be performing the elaborately choreographed shows under the all encompassing tour moniker “The Monster Ball.”
Kid Cudi is riding the wave of his newly released and critically acclaimed album Man on the Moon: The End of Day. Lady Gaga will be re-releasing her much successful The Fame album under the new title, The Fame Monster, which plays into the upcoming tour title. While there won’t be the pseudo “on stage fight” that was planned for the Kanye/Gaga expedition, both artists are expected to outperform their contemporaries in what has been billed as the first “electro pop opera.”
