Scene
Located in Capitol Hill is a bar and grill guaranteed to offer you a good time. Bullfeathers is rooted back to our nation’s 26th president Teddy Roosevelt, who didn’t find it appropriate to use profane language in public so he coined the phrase “Bullfeathers!” This neighborhood bar caters to the elite young crowd of people working on Capitol Hill. Interns as well as other employees flock to Bullfeathers to grab a drink in this trendy and hip spot. Bullfeathers offers trendy DC politicians a lengthy bar and gathering space to throw a few back. Like our mentor, T.R, we find that good food & drink with friends makes the everyday "Bullfeathers" more tolerable. It is our stated goal to take some of the edge off, take some of the "Bullfeathers" out of life & put a little more fun back in!
Eats & Drinks
No matter what your taste buds are craving, Bullfeathers is sure to satisfy. Try the new bull wings which are marinated in tasty blue cheese dressing, and are offered in either spicy or mild. Any of their dishes are tasteful, with names of notable DC figures. For drinks, Bullfeathers offers a variety of week night special at their happy hour from 4-8pm. Miller Lite, Captain and Cokes, and Yuengling drafts are specialty priced. Visit on Wednesday nights for house wine specials at $3.25. The specials continue through the weekend specially Saturdays, when it’s all day Miller Lite drafts for $3.25, and Bloody Marys for $3.50. Along with happy hour drinks, happy hour eats are also available. Snatch up an order of wings, mini burgers, nachos and mozzarella sticks at amazing prices.
Ambience
Bullfeathers offers customers a choice of outdoor seating under umbrellas, while a forty-foot bar stretches along the inside of the restaurant. Classic mahogany woods continue this sophisticated style while small tables accent the bar. You may even spot your local representative sitting and enjoying a drink! Recessed lighting and historical photos of former Washingtonians are displayed on the surrounding walls, as a reminder of our nation’s history and Bullfeathers commitment to serving the House of Representatives! Even though other customers may be in suits, do not fret because Bullfeathers is known as a relaxed environment to sit and have a great time!

TIPS

Always ask for the specials for the day but Pastrami delight or Swiss mushroom burger never fails me!
Dan B.2/23/11
place seems to explode after 5:30
Brett H.3/4/11
Nicer atmosphere than the old Bullf., unfortunately the slow-as-molasses service remains. Don't go at lunch if you're in a hurry.
The Hill is Home 1/21/12
Bring back happy hour! Since a change in management Bullfeathers has taken away their happy hour food and drink specials. Hill staffers and interns look elsewhere for cheap drinks.
