Venue Description:
Capital City Brewery prides itself on being the first brewpub to open in Washington since prohibition, and copper vats still line the walls, although they no longer brew the beer onsite. The draughts are still fresh though, and the assorted offerings change weekly. If you miss the popular after-work happy hour, you can always catch the bonus happy hour, which runs from 10pm until close. Bar food staples are most popular, although the menu goes beyond typical brewpub fare, featuring area favorites like crab dip, chowder and Chesapeake salmon. The crowd is a little more mature than most of downtownÂ's offerings – patrons range from mid-twenties to late-thirties. The giant space and abundance of comfortable booths mean that it never gets cramped, even when filled close to capacity.

Tried the porter tonight, super yummy! Also check out their crabcake sandwich, it was the real deal...

I just saw skeletor get served. Of course this was a female version, but scary nonetheless. Stay away from this place unless you want your dreams haunted.

Did not have very good service at all when I was here. Food isn't really all that great either.
