Does anyone remember the 80Â's Brat Pack classic “St. ElmoÂ's Fire”? Probably not. But anyone as devoted to Andrew McCarthy as we are would immediately recognize The Third Edition as the bar that served as the model for the mythic bar in that classic. If youÂ've ever been to a college bar, or even been to a college, you can guess what ThirdÂ's has to offer – burgers, pitchers, domestic brew, sports and horny co-eds. The place is actually peaceful during the afternoon, a rarity in party-hearty Georgetown. And the food is better than it needs to be. In the warm months, the “Tiki Bar” opens. If youÂ're really lucky, you might catch some boozy Hoya in a grass skirt.
