DC Preservation League 8/1/11The Capitol is both the symbol of government and of the United States. It has been occupied continuously by Congress since 1800. Noteable work of architects Benjamin Latrobe and William Thornton.

If we were a little more starry-eyed, we¬'d suggest that the polarized leaders of today¬'s political parties spend some time in this loud, boozy, and congenial bar mere steps from the House of Representatives. Maybe we¬'d get more cooperation from the parties if they were as cheerfully zooted as so many of the Capital¬'s patrons seem to be. Puff away at a cigar downstairs or mix your own bloody over brunch. Surely we can all agree these are great ways to pass a Sunday? For you Anglophiles and ex-pats, the Capitol has become a bit of a must ¬Ė since they show live Euro soccer from their many, many TV¬'s. No one will ask you what a red card means.
Blair M.1/7/12Fave Hill bar for jam band music (everyone plays it on the jukebox), sweet potato fries and yummy beers. Great neighborhood joint.
Eric 8/19/11Passout and sleep on the bricks outside. It's like posturepedics for real folk.
AGM 4/18/10Great beer selection.
Michael S.8/13/12Don't know what beer you want? Give Larissa your specs and she will find one!
