If we were a little more starry-eyed, weÂ'd suggest that the polarized leaders of todayÂ's political parties spend some time in this loud, boozy, and congenial bar mere steps from the House of Representatives. Maybe weÂ'd get more cooperation from the parties if they were as cheerfully zooted as so many of the CapitalÂ's patrons seem to be. Puff away at a cigar downstairs or mix your own bloody over brunch. Surely we can all agree these are great ways to pass a Sunday? For you Anglophiles and ex-pats, the Capitol has become a bit of a must – since they show live Euro soccer from their many, many TVÂ's. No one will ask you what a red card means.

Fave Hill bar for jam band music (everyone plays it on the jukebox), sweet potato fries and yummy beers. Great neighborhood joint.
