Tapas restaurants are sort of like clubs even when they arenĀ't specifically about dancing. The servers rush about, big gangs of friends and family laugh and shout over the din, everyone smokes and drinks (well, at least in Spain they do). Panache brings that brand of fabulous, Iberian casual fun to quiet Desales Street; itĀ's the perfect place for a birthday party of an office gathering. Never, ever go here as just a couple. Always come in a mob, and a moneyed mob at that. The menu is huge and the temptation of tapas is always to order everything in sight. Luckily, everything is worth ordering.

Plenty of cold and hot tapas, reasonably priced. My favorite was tuna tartare. Good selection of wine... try the Spanish Cabernet.
