If youÂ've had enough of “good” restaurants where you can “talk” to your “spouse,” then thereÂ's no place quite like the Grand Slam, a blinking, honking monster of a sports bar in the deep, dark basement of the DC Grand Hyatt in the shadow of the MCI Center. Most of the customers are perfectly happy to get buzzed on gallons of lite beer and graze on the beer-n-nachos menu while taking in the latest Wiz game on one of the 700 million TVÂ's, but others, still mobile after dinner, rally to play hoop, foozball and even videogames. Do not celebrate your anniversary here.

It's a Texas A&M Alumni Bar so you MUST order a Shiner Bock instead of the usual beer options. Maryland Wings are well seasoned albeit kinda small. Sitting at the bar gets you better service and chats
