Williamsburg’s MyMoon, serves a Red, White and Blue Sangria ($8 glass, $30 carafe) made with Maprecco Vinho Verde (white wine) and topped with strawberries and blueberries. The drink is also extremely aromatic thanks to the addition of Capel Pisco, a floral brandy made with Muscat grapes. Enjoy it on MyMoon’s sprawling outdoor patio.

Ok. So maybe the beach isn't your thing and being on a boat makes you feel like you rode the Tilt-a-Whirl 17 times to many after a funnel cake fiesta. Or perhaps fireworks aren't your gag either - remember that time when you were four and you were burned by that sparkler?. It's understandable that the exploding powders of color in the sky aren't in your flight plan. Or even still, the very thought of watching a panel of adults shovel as many hot dogs as possible down their gullets in ten minuets makes your heart ache with a coronary.
Whatever the case may be, we've got you covered. Here are a few events happening this Fourth of July weekend that are sure to be tasty to your ear and eyes.
Ina Garten is really good at what she does. Her food is simple but it always looks and tastes outstanding. It's like she has a special pixie dust she sprinkles onto her ingredients that transforms them into something greater than anything you or I could create. Maybe it's her access to fresh Hamptons seafood, or expensive vanilla extract, or that cheerful husband who will eat anything she puts in front of him. Either way, she's a fabulous cook and baker and very skilled with her electric mixer. Here is a recipe from Ina that is in high demand year round but especially popular around the 4th of July. Don't be frightened by the amount of butter and sugar in this cake, it serves a lot of people and can easily be sent home with guests after the fireworks are over.
Sure, 4th of July may be all about fireworks, freedom and various liquor concoctions --but let's not forget another key element --swimsuits! Whether you want to go for that classic 80s stars and stripes look or something new and fresh, we have you covered! Here are some of our festive swimsuit picks. Happy 4th!
We're obsessed with this Joyrich bikini and Keith Haring collaboration.
